I've got one more snow film to make. Don't know when it'll get made though. I'm going to hack my little Flip Mino to handle conversion lenses. Should be fun. I'll also construct a rig to attach a field audio recorder and microphone and perhaps a light or two. I'll post pictures of the rig when it's done. First I need to source the lenses etc..Paulyman
I really enjoyed this little film. I'm looking forward to the next one. I'm interested to see how you get on with the mino hacking. I have one myself, but use it just for baby vids at the moment.
Thanks for posting, jason. It'll take a while as I've got to finish a great deal of scanning before I allow myself to play with the Mino hacking. However, I'm planning a short film on parkour, mixing stills, motion and audio interviews and was going to hire hi-end vid gear but I'm thinking a new Mino HD hacked with a field audio recorder and wide converters would suffice. The diminutive size and capable visual performance of the Mino cam would allow for greater fast action movement. I could take more risks with a small unit and I have been lead to believe that the Mino will up-res quite well to match the clarity of the D200 stills. If this project comes together quickly I'll interrupt my scanning. Nice weather coming so I may have to do just that. Will start with the standard Mino for now. Okay, back to scanning. Paulyman.
